The President’s Remarks

Hello Friends!

I am excited to have you visit our website. Whether this is your first time or you regularly visit our website, you are in the right place.

My name is Dr. Augustine Umoren, President and CEO of Wholesome Life Transformation (WLT), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C. WLT is dedicated to empowering young adults ages 18–39 through programs that promote healthy lifestyles and purpose-driven lives free of poverty, hunger, distress, violence, and homelessness. Our initiatives also emphasize stable marriages, strong family relationships, perfect soundness for all, and lives modeled after the likeness of Jesus Christ.

By adopting a healthy lifestyle early in your life and modeling your life after the likeness of Jesus Christ, you can help prevent disease, injury, disability, and premature death and enhance your health and well-being now and in the future.

Many factors that influence health are non-medical and are known as the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH). According to Healthy People 2030, SDOH are the conditions in the environments where youare born, live, learn, work, play, worship, andage that affect health outcomes, functioning, and quality of life. At WLT, we address these determinants to help reduce health disparities and ensure that everyone has a fair and equitable opportunity to achieve optimal health.

Many young people transitioning from late adolescence into early adulthood (ages 18–25) often experience uncertainty about their identity, purpose, life direction, and decision-making. WLT is committed to supporting young adults through these challenges by helping them discover meaning, develop purpose, build a clear direction for their lives, and make an impact on their community.

We invite you to explore our website (wlti.org) to learn more about programs designed to support your personal growth and development, and to discover how WLT can support your journey toward a purposeful and healthy life.

Follow us through our website, blog, and social media platforms, and join us at our conferences, seminars, workshops, and community spiritual well-being events in the District of Columbia. Together, we provide equitable opportunities for young adults to gain the knowledge, skills, and insights needed to lead purpose-driven and transformative lives in the United States and around the world.
